Name: T'car
Alias: Formerly known as Eli
Rank: Tower Guard / Tsar'Lena's companion
Age: Less than two months
Apparent Age: mid/late 20s
Race: Soul Golem
Appearance:
Dusty blond hair, one blue eye and one green eye; his right ear is human and his left ear is Elven. His hands are obvious different. He constantly wears the holy symbol of Dal around his neck. T'car has an athletic build with compact muscles that hide their true nature. Without the holy symbol, his true nature as a Golem is revealed. He has half blond and half brown hair, multiple flesh stitching obviously from different persons.
Personality:
T'car's current personality formed from the intermingled characteristics of his body parts. Since Valian was the first one he encountered, T'car leaned on the Alfir to guide him and thought of Valian as his creator.
T'car has trouble with his independence. He often looks to Valian for advice and encouragement. He does not speak unless directly spoken to and has yet to offer any suggestions on tactics. However, his personality alters when he has a bow in-hand and is standing on the stairs of the Tower, looking out the archers' slits. During these times he speaks and acts much as Zaroy did. When he sits and concentrates, he can sometimes retrieve the memories of those he has been formed from. Due to the fact he has so many memories stored within him, his personality occasionally fluctuates.
Since he was assigned to Tsar'Lena, essentially given to her by Valian, his personality has reverted to that of a mere golem. As she does not encourage independent thought, he does not speak unless queries are asked to him, and has little interest in pursuing the followings of Dal. Without constant reminders and encouragement, there is nothing within him to follow the ways of the Seeker.
Known Abilities:
T'car is an incredible shot with the long bow, and has the strength to pull Kar'ras great Bow. He is so swift and accurate with it, he can fire three arrows within but a few seconds.
It has been perceived that he can transform into a Bat, as he followed Valian's lead within the Shroud to transform into a Bat and soar above a ritual being conducted. He has not changed into a bat since that time.
Known History:
One of Kizer's Soul Golems, T'car was initially made to be the body that housed one of Elias' Soul Shards. The body was inanimate without the Soul Shard and had no personality of its' own. It was only living flesh waiting for the Shard. It is made up of the parts of several people, the combination of whom was the closest approximation Kizer could create to Elias.
Initially T'car did not exist, only a Elias Soul-Golem, who was one of several that Kizer created. In time, this golem gained a personality, and called itself Eli. There was an awareness of something different to Eli. Though Eli understood that he was a golem, he refused to believe it. Instead, he chose to travel with Razorbeak, the griffin. They encountered several adventures, including assisting Tsar'Lena uncover the location of Kyzer's lair in the Dream. Here they assisted her in ransacking the place. Then, the trio parted ways, with Tsar'Lena returning to the others and Eli and Razorbeak continuing their association.
Some point during they adventures, they encountered Valian again. They found a village devoid of life save for a single Alchemist. All else had been chased away by monstrous invaders. He participated in a raid against the invaders of the land, and when alchemist's fire went awry, Eli and Razorbeak were destroyed. When Eli and Razorbeak were killed in the explosion caused by the Alchemist's fire, Valian prayed over them.
Although his prayers were answered, the Soul-Golem was not resurrected as his had been, instead what had been part of Elias was transferred into the silver bladed short sword, Dalshai Dol, and the golem body itself animated. This became T'car.
During the final battle with the Overseer, T'car shot two arrows, each one piercing the Overseer's knee caps, effectively paralyzing his legs and forcing him to his knees.
When Valian left the Company to follow the quest given to him by Dal, he left T'car in Tsar'Lena's care with the standing orders of "Guard and follow Tsar'Lena as you would me. Listen to Tsar'Lena as you would me, until I return."
Other Information:
T'car's name is a combination of the word for friend in Elvish and a tragic hero in Elvish theater. He never takes the holy symbol of Dal off, and it is the only thing he will not willingly do for anyone.
So far he has managed to retrieve memories of at least three people all of whom the Company knows or knew. Listed in order of 'appearance'.
Zaroy - The legendary human archer of Trias who was a friend of Tsarlena's. He journeyed with Kor'ren and Hana for some time before....
Izaran Windrunner - An elven holy knight from Voorbis, one of Rizardon's closest friends.
Arcan Trees' Above - An Itok soldier in Elias' garrison who was a devote follower of Dal.
