Ice
Classification: Hallucinogenic.
Appearance: Common.
Ice made of the ground seeds of the Frostbloom plant. When the seeds are ground into a powder then dissolved on the tongue the drug will begin to take effect. Casual dose with the lowest chance of addiction would be one or two seeds. Normal use would be a grind of three to five. Anything more than five can have serious effects on ones health and it is not advised to experiment with any more than the five.
As the drug begins to take effect, the strength of the hallucinations relies heavily on the amount taken. The more one takes, the closer to reality the images and alterations feel. Taking one or two could simply make the worlds colors bleed into each other and warp your perception of the world. Three or four and the drug usually tends to dilute and tamper with your sensory organs. One can expect to see things that aren't really there, potentially even seeing an entire other reality. The muted and tampered senses will work in tandem to process this new information, however due to the brain reading the signals and the ice crystals forming from the drug, the brain will give incorrect feedback and thus cause these things seen to begin to seem like reality. Taking five or more causes the crystals to being to solidify across the top of the brain, this can mute the actual images that would be sent from the eyes and replace them with something new entirely. If this new information is processed as such, the body will react to the new surroundings as if they are true and actually there. The chances of a bad trip increase the higher the dose. For example, if one were to take a large dose and see spiders crawling toward them and eventually crawling up them, they would feel the hundreds of tiny legs all across where the brain believes them to be.
The drug also has another effect that rises higher the less one takes. Rather than seeing more than reality, the user would begin to feel a state of intense joy and happiness. The higher the dose, the lesser this effect, as the brain will not process a new world and the elation at the same time. The casual use of one or two is the most ideal for this feeling.
The trip generally will last longer the more you take, the more you take the higher the effects of the hallucinations and the lesser the immense joy. The casual user will experience about one to three hours of elation and warped perception, while a hardcore user could potentially be long gone from reality for the entire day. The trip lasts as long as the actual freezing partials remain solid, flushing into the bloodstream to dilute and become inactive directly after the trip.
If one takes more than the maximum recommended dose, there is a large chance that some, if not all of the brain will become encased in the freezing partials. If this happens, all communication to the body is lost and the brain becomes starved of oxygen within the hour. More likely than not, this will be the end of ones life. Few users have ever made it back from an overdose from this drug and most end with the total freezing of the brain. Do not ever take more than five at a time!
