Name: Zachary Nolan
Aliases: Zach, Kid, Nolan
Rank: Citizen / V.I.P at the Ultra Violet.
Homeworld: He claims to be from Earth.
Affiliations: None that anyone knows.
Physical Description: He has broad shoulders and a muscular chest. Zachary's dark hair is short and has an odd wave to it, as though he recently went to a hair dresser. His eyes are a deep chocolate brown, quite a common shade.
He has a long newly stitched injury on his left calf. Due to some recent encounters, his right arm was still in a sling that was designed in such a way to keep his right hand bound to the middle of his chest and held there by a cuff near his elbow. From beneath his collar and right sleeve, it was clear this bandage and brace continued underneath his clothing. His left eye still had mild bruising around it, and he appears to be mildly sunburned.
Personality: Zach is the kind of down to earth, easy going, boy-next-store guy everyone would love their daughters to date. Surprisingly, he has never had a serious girlfriend and has limited sexual experience. He is mildly ambitious and friendly to anyone who isn't an outright jerk to him. A wanderer at heart, he has no doubt in his mind if he were a My Little Pony character he would have horse-shoes as a Cutie Mark. sAt least he did until he took up semi-permanent residence at the Ultra Violet Lounge. He's eager to learn about wherever he is, but his true passion lays in exploring and simply experiencing new things, essentially a 'what's over the horizon' kind of guy.
Equipment: Although he has a true hiker's backpack, he usually rents a locker to store it in if he's going somewhere inside. He usually carries a hikers' backpack stuffed with various items that he has either found or brought on his travels as well as a decent supply of cash and travelers' cheques. He has a nice shirt that he uses on special occasions or while club hopping. Of course there are supplies in his pack as well - like a water bottle and his camera. He recently acquired a jeep, so can store addition supplies in it.
He has a ten-inch plush of an unusual creature with multiple eyes and limbs. She happens to be a dancer at the U.V.L. It is "perhaps a bit crude in design. Her name and contact details are printed upon it's side." He received it before they were properly introduced, but cherishes it all the same.
Una-lator: He's acquired a universal translator (Una-lator). Well, it translates most languages. It is a small subcutaneous device that fits into his ear and is virtually invisible, so no one is the wiser. No matter what is being spoken around him, Zachary hears his native tongue. Even with the translator, he can't always speak the language of the natives right away but after a while can figure it out. Not that he's a polyglot, he actually forgets the languages if he doesn't interact with them very often. However, he can always understand what he hears. (I understand and respect there are some languages that 'no one else knows' and will acknowledge them if someone mentions this is a 'secret tongue' or what-have you to me!)
The Bottle of Pills: He has a bottle of pills that he confiscated from Lydia Fairfield. According to her: "Being high on that shit is a lot different from being drunk.. When you're drunk, you know you're gone.. When I'm on those pills, I don't know where I am, who I am.. Sometimes I don't recognize my own feet and I forget how to walk. But it's amazing, because as scary as all of that may sound to a sober person... You just don't care. You could be hit by a car, and think you're riding a boat in Candyland, and smiling the whole time."
History: Zachary has heard the rumors of the horrible and fantastic things that can be encountered. So he set out to find some adventure. He desperately wants to be something more than an ordinary human and this often gets him laughed at. So far; however, he remains a human with no unusual abilities or powers.
He has decided to better recall his adventures and journeys, to keep notes. Often Zachary can be seen scribbling down some interesting tidbits, and if he is fortunate snapping a photo or two of what he sees. Though he is not a professional journalist, he is developing a keen interest in those that dwell in the greater world and multi-verse and is curious to learn more about them. The more he's been writing, the more he's enjoying the idea of creating a book or two after he's finished his adventures.
His adventures were cut short when he was kidnapped by a dragon... as her 'company'. During his encounter with her, one of his journals was lost.
Skill Set: As an adventurer and an explorer, Zach has a skill set befitting his role. Over the years, he has taken survivalist classes. He is an excellent free-form climber. Due to his rigorous training in these things, he feels prepared for most dangerous situations and disasters. He has training in basic medical skills, though it amounts to the same level anyone who reads a few books on the subject and takes a First-Aid / CPR class can obtain. The major thing he is lacking is any kind of trained self-defense. He has some basic 'oh shit something is after me' abilities; however has never quite gotten around to taking those martial arts, boxing or any other true combat course. However, he does carry a few items to deter would be attackers...
