Name: Litamanamani A'garkeem
Alias: Litam, Tamin, Tkgraw (griffon name)
Rank: Bard / Member of Clan Aroo; House A'gar
Age: 253
Apparent Age: Mid-teens
Race: Selina
Appearance:
Litam is slender and bears the scars of his slavery across his shoulders and chest. His hair close up resembles feathers more than hair. Although at the beginning of the adventure, his hair was brown, since waking from the Overseer’s realm, it has scattered green and silver streaks. He does not give explanation for the change.
He has a partially finished tattoo of a griffin on his back and shoulders. His ice blue eyes vary between jovial and haunted as he struggles between where he belongs and what happened to him in the past.
Personality:
Gentle and soft-spoken he is more apt to fall silent than share his opinion. Since coming from the OverSeer's Nightmare, he is withdrawn and quite. Although he has managed to get past the ‘do everything everyone says’ stage, he still keeps to himself. Tsar’Lena, occasionally someone else and now more frequently Razorbeak seem the only ones able to draw him from wherever he has gone. He did a few requests at the Feast in the Illuminated Forest but that is all the music he has played, the camp is no longer filled with his gentle strums or soft hums.
Known Abilities:
He has shown that one of his racial abilities is to put people to sleep. This powerful ability can cut through even an Alfir's natural resistance. Tamin is an excellent musician, and writes his own music. He is accomplished at several instruments - including the flute, the pipe and several others. The "Good Things" flute responds differently to him than anyone else when he plays it.
Known History:
Among his people, the Selina, the younger generation goes out on what a human would call a 'walk about' when they turn two hundred. This is the time for them to experience the world outside their culture and gain a better understanding of it before they return to Silvendal.
Litam was captured within a few weeks of beginning this journey, and was sold into slavery where he remained for more than fifty years. There he stayed until a few days prior to the Company's Meetings.
The time spent in Morentshire strengthened him, and gave him new life and a voice among the Company. He attempted to join among the Councils more often.
Despite the fact he is the youngest member of the original members of the Company, Litam was often the one taking care of the children, a task he never enjoyed. He did his best to protect the children when the others were attempting to rescue Hammond. Unfortunately, despite Litam and Arrowroot’s best efforts, the owls took some of the children.
His singing prevented the others from succumbing to the enchanting voice of the willow tree in Rapid Bend.
When the Company went into the Overseer's realm, Litam was separated from the Company. He suffered greatly at the hands of a dream-creation Mordochai, who turned Litam into one of his personal slaves. As Litam believed this nightmare’s scenario to be real, he had no way to know it was simply something the Overseer conjured. When the Company and their allies killed the Overseer, Litam fell from the Nightmare. Eventually, Oren rescued him from that Dream at Tsar’Lena's request.
Before the events in the Overseer's Realm, he was beginning to suggest things and attempt to influence decisions. Afterward, he reverted to much more into the 'slave mentality', and for a while he instantly did what he was bid by anyone.
Since the Illuminated Forest, he has been spending a lot of time with Razorbeak and seems to take comfort in her presence. By the time the Company woke up that Litam and Razorbeak decided they were mated. She preens his hair often.
When the Company created their plan to close the gates, Litam offered to go back home and tell the Selina of the impending disaster. He was finally able to return to SIlvendal, if but for a brief time. Then, he descended the floating city to once again deal with the 'grounders', his path taking him to the Boiling Sea. He was with Razorbeak when she enlisted the aid of the other mountain-dwelling griffons. During the battle to close the Gate of Many Colors, Litam fought with the griffons and those from Silvendal who came to the assistance of the Company. After the gate was closed, he followed the majority of the Company to the Frozen Gate and now waits there for the next event to occur...
