Name: Morena
Other Names: Healer, wenda, 'Rena
Age: 28
Apparent Age: 20
Position: Currently a guest of an alternate dimension version of The Captain of the Bloody Hand, Actyon.
Description: Off duty, she is a quiet and gentle, slightly built woman with dark red-brown hair, usually kept in an severe tail or knot at the nape of her neck and frank gray eyes. Her physique is strong with lean muscle without looking bulky. She could be an athlete or a dancer. And she is an accomplished dagger fighter. Called striking by her critics, Morena has a wide forehead, high cheekbones and a firm but triangular chin. Her wide mouth smiles often, always a quirk at the corners of her lips, even when she is arguing with her patients. Though when she is angry, her tone has been known to make even the most stubborn Warrior obey.
General Attire:
If given a choice, Morena would wear one of two kinds of outfits. The Healer's robes, a full length robe with split sleeves, so she may tie them back out of her way in a light mint green, or an split sleeved shirt and full, un-pleated skirt in the same shades.
Before she was taken by her dimension's Captain Actyon, 'Rena wore five silver chains called Bands about her ankles, wrists and her throat. The societal custom is that a woman wears gold Bands to indicate whom she belongs to. Morena, as a Healer, belonged to no one, and so, wore Silvers to indicate her rank and profession.
Her dimension's Captain has left Morena with four Bands of silver, not gold, which means that her status in her own land is not the same as a Sarellawenda, but that she is Banded for her professional safety.
In addition to the four silver Bands she still has, Morena now wears one of white-gold nearly as pale as silver about her throat, and two others about her biceps of gold and onyx skillfully intermingled to give them a swirling effect, treated with potions to keep her from aging and allow the Captain to track her anywhere. These new Bands are treated with Captain Actyon's blood, which Morena had rapidly became addicted to, to force the Healer into staying with him so that she would not suffer withdrawals.
She also has a tattoo on her wrist of a Heal-All vine twining around it, vanishing as the tail disappears up the inside of her arm. Only the Captain knows how far that tattoo goes.
Personality: Morena is endlessly kind, giving treats to children and animals, being polite to shady merchants who want to sell her things she doesn't need, even lending a hand in her already insane schedule to help others. She is an iron pillar of strength to her patients, especially trauma victims, encouraging them relentlessly back to health. But do not stand between her and someone needing her help, or she will bodily move you to reach them, or do intentional damage if she cant.
History: Very ill from unshielded Empathy from birth until age six, it was found that Morena had a strong, innate ability of Healing. Only because Duscha's mother was the reigning Corva at the time did Morena get the training she needed to both control and utilize her Talent. Her gruff manner to her patience has spawned from her first few years if being an Active Healer and not being taken seriously.
She used to travel a lot, seeing her home village perhaps once every fortnight, for her skills are much in demand and she will not allow anyone else to take over a patient, feeling that they come to trust her, and it is not fair to them to just 'take a day off'.
She'd been transferred from her cased by order of Corva Duscha to attend Aramina during the last weeks of her pregnancy and for her delivery. There had been some incidents before her arrival and Morena had been asked to see to the Elvito, TeyJarron.
To learn more about his species, Patch and Morena intended to go to his home village, but were transported some 400 years into the past to encounter the then-insane Captain Actyon. Morena, during this disastrous trip with Patch to Venichea so she could learn more about TeyJarron's species to hopefully put the Elvito back to rights, had become stuck about four centuries in the past and was captured by Captain Actyon of the Bloody Hand. The Captain has removed the silver Band about Morena's throat and replaced it with a Band of his own, along with a few other circlets placed on other limbs as a sign of his Claim upon the Healer. The Captain convinced a drugged Morena to teleport them to a place Patch could not follow.
There, she became his pet Healer and Banded wenda-- which she consented to, to save herself. During an episode when she was being assaulted by two of the Bloody Hand soldiers while her Memabrak, the man who Banded her, in the next room, Morena was miraculously saved by a hooded stranger with a TPT device. She went with him upon his demand, feeling oddly safe, only to find that it was an alternate version of the very man who Banded her.
At the present time, Morena was kidnapped from Captain Actyon by a parallel dimensional version who saved her from being raped and brutalized at the hands of two members of the Bloody Hand. Alternate-Actyon took her to his home dimension where she would be safe and well cared for. Morena was given the option to stay with her 'L'lenda' rather than go back to the insane version of the Captain since Actyon had Banded her. Time/inter-dimensional travel gets confusing!
Known Abilities:
Empath: Morena's Empathic ability is far stronger than her Telepathic talent along with a second sight that brings into focus the things out of balance with a body and spirit.
Healing: Via taking injuries and sicknesses into herself, by using her body and mind as a conduit, then shunting it all out of her naturally. On the flip side of her Healing Gift, she can Reverse Heal, by taking memories of old injuries she had Healed and re-administering them to any given victim. NOTE: This act cannot be done more often than once in a moon cycle, and cannot be sustained for longer than ten minutes total. Reverse Healing causes phantom injuries to be felt by Morena.
Telekinetic: As with all of her species, Morena has some Telekinetic ability which she uses on a daily basis with patients.
Telepath: As with all of her species, Morena has some Telepathic ability, though markedly less strength than she has with her Empathic talent.
Teleportation: As with all of her species, Morena can perform Teleportations as her main means of travel. She can also Teleport up to two passengers at a time.
Family: Morena's parents live in the same Dependent Village as the one Mina's brother, Valessan is Denday. She has no siblings, mate or children.
