Name: Largos Larsen
Alias:
Rank: Thief / Assassin
Apparent Age: Late 20s
Age: ?
Race: He was born Selina / Human. However, may well be considered now a Sunlit.
Appearance:
His garb is black and dark brown to easier blend into the shadows. Somehow the clothes he wears makes him almost impossible to see in certain lights, even to those with keen vision (such as Alfir).
He currently carries a short sword and bow. He has curly dark brown hair and green-blue eyes. Although his features are the finely sculpted of his Selina heritage, his face has the rugged appearance of someone who has spent a lot of time outdoors. All this appearance information is gleaned from his forearms, chin and cheeks, which are for the most part the only features he allows anyone to see.
Personality:
Withdrawal and reserved, Largos rarely speaks. He does not interact with many members of the Company, preferring to stay on the fringes of the group. Although he will follow Elias (and often Tsar'Lena's) lead, he usually does not listen to the others in the group. When he does speak, it is either witty or sarcastic with little in between. It is a rare thing for him to suggest any course of action. However, he makes an excellent spy and scout, often disappearing for hours at a time as he discerns what is around.
Known Abilties:
Largos has proved to excel at trap design and disconnection. Although he has some skill as a lock-smith, his talents lay in his ability to manufacture and disengage traps. Such is the power of his garb, when he casts his hood over his head, he blends into any shadow available and is nigh invisible.
Presumably Largos now has all the same abilities that a Sunlit has; however it is unknown as to what extent he has them as he has not had time to experiment or learn about them.
Known History:
He was originally from Tarascon, on the edge of the Boiling Sea. He grew up in a small family, with his brother being a tailor. He disappeared one day and did not return until the Company and he came back from the dream, at which time they were busy seeking a way to bring back Tsar"Lena from the dead.
When the Rite of the Phoenix was performed, while everyone else was verbalizing their desire to be the 'sacrifice' it was Largos who walked into the circle. Whether he did this in an act of friendship or due to feeling indebted to Elias for saving his life, remains unknown. To ensure a proper exchange of power, Hana transformed him into a Sunlit Scalla. Due to the Kêrath's influence on the ritual, the life swap did not go as planned, and a slice of Largos' soul was trapped in the newly reborn Tsar'Lena. He travelled with her into the Shroud, went insane there but when she was cleansed so was he. Gradually his consciousness began to fade, and it was likely given time, he would have faded completely.
However, he was recently returned to life by the Cauldron of Life, and was escorted to Flora's cozy cottage. Not long after, he disappeared again. With his ability to become truly invisible, he could be anywhere.
In The Dream
He told everyone that he originated from the town of Maris deTarasgon. When the undead over-ran their home town, many of the villagers sought refuse in the forest and eventually became brigands. Darius Windstrike created a cohesive band from these refugees.
When the Company first met him, Largos was a member of the criminal contingent that was hired by Iahcodrom (later revealed to be Mordochai... who was actually Kizer in disguise?), Largos harbored a hatred for, Darius Windstrike, the leader of the contingent (for his stupidity) and eventually successfully murdered him. When he was captured by the Company, something unusual happened while Galan was interrogating him, and so the holy warrior saved his life. By his honor he claimed a life debt to Galan; however he was released from this agreement. He agreed to help the Company in exchange for amnesty from his former crimes. He disarmed the traps in the thieves' hideout under the Drawn Line, some of which he designed.
When they turned him into the Constable, the Constable attempted to summarily execute him. Elias stepped in to prevent this, seeing it dishonorable in the eyes of Illynallah. Valian supported his comrade and Hammond came to assist for the same reasons as Elias.
Largos travelled with the Company because Elias saved his life and he has a debt to pay. Whether or not he will leave when this debt is paid remains to be seen. During their time in Rapid Bend, Largos stole a Gem of Seeing and so the truth of Tsarlena's words about her race were revealed. In the Overseer's realm, Largos followed the Overseer and found the secrets to entering the Overseer's sanctuary.
Family: Brother of Laren Larson.
